Overview

Re-Think...Re-Design...Re-Build

Public, private, and government sectors all have a role in addressing job and community growth and economic recovery.   These issues require a comprehensive and coordinated approach across state, local, county, and regional jurisdictions.

Be part of that growth and recovery!

Join us as we explore how the HUD-DOT-EPA Inter-agency Partnership for Sustainable Communities aims to improve regional planning efforts that connect housing, transportation, public health, and the environment.

With our partners, US HUD, NeighborWorks America, and the NC Green Building Council's Raleigh, Triad and Charlotte chapters, we will convene government officials, industry leaders, and experts from the non-profit community

This one and half day event will provide high-quality education, policy oriented discussions and presentations, networking with decision-makers you need to know to be part of the movement in urban, suburban, and rural communities to build more sustainable communities.  Topics will include:

  • HUD-DOT-EPA Interagency Partnership for Sustainable Communities Panel Discussion
  • HUD: An Introduction to Green Rehab Techniques
  • Choice Neighborhoods, A New Dimension in Public Housing
  • Integrated Regional Planning: A Tool for Growth and Recovery
  • Rethinking Building Efficency: Whole Systems / Interative Design Approaches
